New spring/summer 2016 collection from Kenzo

Inspired by the KALIFORNIA range of leather goods, this optical collection in wrought metal is available for both men and women. The KALIFORNIA logo is inserted at the front end of the arms, while a coloured sphere adds a fun twist to the tips.

Humberto Leon and Carol Limont, founders of the "Opening Ceremony" concept store took over the reins at KENZO in July 2011 in a bid to shake up the Parisian fashion scene. The inspiration for their move was their desire to share their love of travel and fashion via a concept store like none that the world had ever seen. With a penchant for collections with a cheeky twist alongside independent labels, they successfully mix emerging brands and established labels while defying conventional expectations.

Asian-Americans from California, Humberto Leon and Carol Lim focus on the freedom that comes from their offbeat, constructively rebellious approach. Their mission at KENZO is to instill the label with a genuine joie de vivre and a new creative freshness, while continuing to surprise and shake up the fashion jungle.

Under their leadership, the eyewear collection is an extension of the powerful themes of the ready-to-wear collection. With printed finishes in contrasting colours, and metallic arms with engraved decoration, the KENZO-inspired details are rich and varied. Here, technical expertise meets creativity with meticulous workmanship that screams colour, freedom, and joyfulness.
